On Saturday 4 May 2019 we had our first Meetup of the Content Creators Utrecht. It was hosted by myself and Shaggy Num, and we gave a workshop illustrating best practices while shooting long night exposures. The first hour consisted of casual drinks and a lightning introductory round, and then we jumped right in to the technical side of things. I made a handout describing how to read your camera’s histogram, and a checklist of 15 things which you should do to ensure a successful night of long exposure photography.
I will publish the checklist separately later this week.
Look for our next Meetup at the end of May, where we’ll discuss the use of off-camera lighting with professional Profoto strobes.
